What is Child Care Certification?
Child care certification establishes standards for child care providers to promote the health, safety, and welfare of the children in their care. Regulation of a child care provider assures that the home, legal background, health and physical site are within specific guidelines as established by the State of Wisconsin.
Why become a certified child care provider?
- A certified provider is able to care for children receiving Wisconsin Shares, the child care subsidy program in Wisconsin.
- A certified provider may participate in the Child & Adult Care Food Program.
- A certified provider may get parent referrals from the Child Care Resources and Referral Agency.
