Family Interaction LogoThe Family Interaction Program, hosted by Brown County Health & Human Services, is a vital initiative supporting Child Protective Services. Our dedicated volunteers play an essential role in providing supervised, safe environments for children during family visits while they are in out-of-home care. Visits occur at the Family Center. As a volunteer, you will have the support of Family Support Workers, and Social Workers during your supervised visit. 

Volunteer Role and Impact
Meaningful Contribution: Volunteers ensure the emotional and physical safety of children during visits, making a lasting impact on their lives and the community.
Flexible Scheduling: Volunteers can choose their commitment level, tailoring their hours to fit personal schedules while providing consistent support to the same family each week.

Qualifications and Skills
What We Seek: Dependable, patient, and flexible individuals, sensitive to family needs. While experience in human services is a plus, it is not mandatory.
Requirements: A valid driver’s license, liability insurance, and a commitment to confidentiality and emergency readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and, if necessary, intervene during visits between children and parents.
  • Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinators, Social Workers, and other agencies to address family needs effectively.

Getting Started
