Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit
The primary role of the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit (CABHU) is to support children, youth and families working with Child Protective Services and/or Youth Justice Services.

CABHU provides individual and family therapy, case management, and assessment services for children and youth with serious mental health or behavioral issues who have needs beyond what treatment as usual in the community can meet.

CABHU also provides court ordered and voluntary crisis case management to children and youth following emergency detentions under Chapter 51.

CABHU primarily works with families who are already connected with the county and most services require a referral from their county case manager.  Services may be provided in families’ homes, schools, and other community settings. Staff work closely with other community partners to provide coordinated care and achieve the best outcomes for kids and families.

CABHU is supervised by a doctoral level clinical psychologist and includes a team of psychotherapists and case managers.

Community referrals are not accepted.
